One of the most talented actors in the country, R. Madhavan, has been conferred with the degree of Doctor of Letters (D. Litt.) by DY Patil Education Society, Kolhapur for his contribution to arts and cinema. He was conferred this degree on Wednesday at the education society's ninth convocation ceremony. R Madhavan reacted to receiving the honor, and said that this would further motivate him to keep challenging himself with new projects.
PTI quoted R Madhavan saying, “I am truly humbled by this honour. This will only motivate me to keep pushing the envelope and challenging myself with newer projects.” Ruturaj Patil, trustee and director of the DY Patil group took to his social media and shared a snap with the actor, while writing, “Today we welcomed the renowned actor & writer Shri @ActorMadhavan ji at Kolhapur for the 9th Convocation Ceremony of the D Y Patil Education Society, Kolhapur. Here, he will be honored with a D.Litt degree for his contribution in the film and social sector.”
Replying to this, R Madhavan wrote, “Thank you so very much for the honor love and affection. It has been such a memorable day in my life . Thank you again bro.”

R Madhavan is working on his next movie which will be his directorial debut titled ‘Rocketry: The Nambi Effect'. The movie is based on the life of Nambi Narayanan, who was a scientist and an aerospace engineer at ISRO. Besides this movie being his directorial debut, he has also written, produced and acted in the movie.
